Hi wisconsindead. Where in Wisconsin are you? I am in Greenfield. I have about 2000 discs of Grateful Dead shows. I had a couple of sources for shows and been updating a lot lately. I have probably close to 900 discs that I would liek to get rid of. Do you know of anyone who might want to buy a collection ready to go? Most of these are from the 70's as that is my decade of choice. I hace shows that were special to me from the 80's on but I have most of what they played in the decade of the 70's. I am looking to cover some of the coat of the discs and cases so maybe $500. Plus now I will add all the Europe 72 shows I had since I just got the box set. Let me know if you know of anyone or if you are interested. I will be working on al ist of what I have in the near future.

Well being the broke ass I am, I certainly can't afford 500 bones worth of cds. I woulda gotten the 72 box set if I couldve afforded it. At a minimum i wouldn't mind taking a peak at your box set heh. Other than that I'm the only person I know that is dead crazy, so I don't know of anybody that would want them.

o, and I'm west of milwaukee. so pretty close to you.

Contact mickmac...get in touch while he's still suffering; the longer he's been on the phone with the dolts in shipping, the better. I predict you can "turn" him with little effort (certainly less than it'd take if he were a screw in the Big House). Hell, you can probably weasel two out of him and make a nice profit selling to the other poster in this thread (DON'T tell mickmac your plan!).

;)

Besides, kids don't need to go to college these days; look at all the absolute IDIOTS working with DEAD Enterprises?! They never made it past the third grade.

[Apologies in advance to those that have had wonderful experiences with all the lovely folks assisting them with their "disk issues".]

I've given them their final chance to take them back. Have been assured in writing that I will only be charged for one and credit card company has copy and is monitoring. They said they'd try to send me a a return shipping label but when I said send me 9 because I can't find a box the size of a picnic table they panicked said didn't think of that and will get back to me. I said last chance. No shit. I have spent over 12 hours trying to give their stuff back. Still have not opened any of the 10 I have. Takes up a lot of space. But I've calmed down!

Unreal...truly a bizarre tale.

And I think you deserve every one of them. Keepsakes, and oh so appropriate for "re-gifting"...well, at least to Forumites that might understand the significance!

Someone else might throw out the contents and keep the handy carrying case?

So, it this that great GD business model that is au courant in biz schools these days?

All I can say mick is that once you are able to get into one, you'll be rewarded. I'm just at the end of good lovin' on day 3 in newcastle (with eric burdon's mother in attendance in the balcony) and i have a feeling that any regrets you may have had will dissipate over the time you get to spend with these shows. looking forward to hopping across the channel and hitting the continent....

and any tour that starts off with liner notes invoking prague spring and the plastic people of the universe has already got me hook, line and sinker...

Dude, I have you so covered. Under fair use law, my copies for Alaska listening...

So put this in your pipe and smoke it as a newly "released" show from your good friends at Wilco; they are streaming new album tomorrow. Here's a less than year old show from one of my favorite spots (just put on site today):

For some reason I cant always connect to the wilco site. Its hit or miss. Cant wait for the new album. Hopes its better than the last one but I love it all and of course will buy it without even hearing it first. And you are more than welcome to store anything at my house for your listening pleasure when you come up : )
